Reposado tequila from the Cazcabel range, matured in American oak barrels for at least 9 months before bottling. Suitable for enjoying in cocktails and well as simply sipping neat (if this tickles your fancy, their Coffee Tequila is well worth a look too!). Earthy at first, before light hints of cinnamon, caramel and dried fruit begin to appear. Vegetal agave still sits at the core of this expression, with the other notes supporting it handsomely. Cazcabel Reposado Tequila produced in an independent micro distillery in the town of Arandas which is located in the highlands of the Jalisco mountains in Mexico. Cazcabel Reposado is a truly hand finished tequila, being sampled once every week of aging in a American oak barrel where it rests for a minimum of 9 months. Their ageing process can last up to 11 months depending on the taste. This process balances the beautiful, clean and earthy agave flavour of the double distilled Cazcabel Blanco with subtle complex aromas of toasted Oak. Cazcabel gets its name from a man called Don Cazcabel who is famous for his natural tonics and is a healer with powers that attracted many Mexicans from hundreds of miles around, his tequila recipe uses the best natural ingredients offered by the fertile land and this philosophy has been the upmost inspiration for Cazcabel tequila.
