Grappa Regadin Moscato (70cl , 40%)

Grappa Regadin is a brand of Italian grappa produced by the historic Zanin distillery in the Veneto region. It is a traditional Italian spirit made from the distillation of pomace (grape seeds, stalks, and skins) leftover from the wine-making process.
Key Characteristics
  • Producer: Zanin distillery, a family-owned company with roots dating back to 1895.
  • Origin: Veneto, Italy. Grappa holds a Geographical Indication (GI) protection, meaning it must be produced in Italy from Italian grape pomace to be called “Grappa”.
  • Production Method: Zanin uses traditional methods, including bain-marie stills, which allow for slow and gradual extraction of aromas, preserving delicate notes.
  • Serving: It is typically served neat as a digestif after a meal, often at room temperature.
Varieties
The “Regadin” line includes several single-varietal (monovitigno) grappas, each with distinct flavor profiles:
  • Grappa Regadin Prosecco: A clean, crisp, and young grappa made from Prosecco (Glera) grape pomace, featuring aromas of white flowers, citrus, green apple, and almonds.
  • Grappa Regadin Cabernet: Made from red berry pomace from Cabernet wine production, offering warm, winey sensations.
  • Grappa Regadin Chardonnay: A smooth spirit with notes of white fruit, delicate floral hints, green apple, and vanilla, ideal for refined meals or cocktails.
  • Grappa Regadin Moscato: Delicately recalls the intense aromas of the Moscato grape, with a soft, velvety, and sweetly persistent taste. It pairs well with chocolate or desserts.
  • Grappa Regadin Pinot Grigio: Showcases the elegance of the Pinot Grigio grape with a refined and aromatic profile.
  • Grappa Regadin Amarone Invecchiata: An aged grappa, likely matured in wooden barrels, which provides greater depth, complexity, and notes of vanilla or spices.
