FEW Barrel Gin has tasting notes that are a complex mix of gin and aged spirits, with a golden amber color. Aromas and flavors include rich, spiced notes of clove and ginger, earthy juniper, and candied citrus peel, alongside hints of vanilla, oak, and sometimes berry fruit. The finish is long and spicy, often described as gingerbread-like.
Aroma (Nose)
- Spiced & Earthy: Rich and spicy with earthy juniper, clove, and hints of cinnamon.
- Citrus: Candied lemon or citrus peel is prominent.
- Other: Subtle notes of vanilla, nuts, and menthol can also be detected.
Taste (Palate)
- Spicy & Herbal: Flavors of clove, ginger, and peppery spices are prominent.
- Juniper: The earthy juniper flavor is present, layered with the barrel-aged notes.
- Sweet & Fruity: Hints of tart berry fruit, and a biscuity or vanilla sweetness appear, sometimes making it taste like a young bourbon.
