Junipero Gin (70cl , 49.3%)
Made by the Anchor Distilling Company, which was founded in 1993. Junipero gin is flavoured with over 12 different botanicals which are redistilled in a small copper still. The botanicals include coriander, liquorice and juniper. This was awarded a Double Gold at the 2004 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Junipero Gin has a strong juniper core with dominant citrus, pine, and herbal notes, followed by a spicy finish. On the nose, it has pungent juniper, pine, and citrus with hints of ginger and coriander. The flavor profile is characterized by a juniper and citrus attack, leading into mid-palate notes of coriander and liquorice, and finishing with a spicy, earthy complexity.Â
