Juniper, celery leaves, coriander, angelica, orange peel and cardamom.
Slight notes of mint, parsley and celery. Spicy and fresh with a little aniseed.
Rutte has been making Dry Gin since the 1930s. Our very first gin already contained celery leaves! This is no ‘trendy’ new version, but a product that has been in our genes for over a century.
- Juniper and citrus:Â The gin leads with traditional notes of juniper and lemon zest.
- Celery:Â The namesake celery flavor emerges in the middle, described as vegetal and fresh, though some find it subtle.
- Spices:Â A hint of caraway spice is also noted.
- Finish:Â The finish is dry, with the celery notes balanced by a hint of salt.Â
- Gin and Tonic:Â It is highly recommended for a G&T, as the celery and salt cut through the sweetness of the tonic and citrus. Some reviewers suggest using a clean, lightly sweetened tonic to let the flavors shine.
- Martini:Â Its smooth flavor profile and traditional base make it a good choice for a Martini, especially when paired with a botanically driven vermouth.Â
- Fans of classic-style gins who want to try something with a unique vegetal twist.
- Cocktail enthusiasts who appreciate balanced and complex spirits.Â
