Filliers’ 38° (5 Year Old) Oude Graanjenever (70cl , 38%)

The production of jenever near Deinze by the Filliers family dates back to the 19th century. This ‘old’ jenever has been aged for 5 years in American oak barrels but the ‘old’ refers to the older style production method, producing a far more flavourful spirit.

Filliers genever reviews highlight its range of complex, award-winning products, from the versatile, gin-like “Young & Pure” to the rich, whiskey-esque aged versions. Reviewers praise the aged genevers for their warm spices, vanilla, and fruit notes, with the 21-year-old specifically winning “Country Winner” and best in the world at the World Gin Awards 2024. The classic dry gin is noted for its balanced citrus and juniper profile, making it a solid, well-rounded choice.
